NEIGHBORHOOD RULES: Numbered parking spaces are reserved for residents of those homes. Please do not park in another home's parking spaces without permission. Please direct visitors to the five guest parking spaces located on the east end of Ethan Allen Court, or to street parking along Colonial Court and around the island between Colonial Court and the west end of Ethan Allen Court. We ask that vehicles not remain in guest spaces longer than 72 hours. Email board@cherryhillmanor.org for more information.
CITY REGULATIONS: Double parking (parking in the street in front of your assigned spaces) is prohibited by the City of Newark, as is parking in the alleys and the service road around the neighborhood. To report any problems related to City of Newark parking regulations, please call the City of Newark’s Parking Enforcement division at 302-366-7000.
Pickup: The City of Newark provides trash and recycling carts to residents. Trash is picked up weekly on Mondays. Recycling is picked up on Fridays. You can call Public Works to request a yard waste container. Yard waste is picked up on Wednesdays in the spring, summer and fall. The City of Newark requires that trash carts be pulled out into the service roads for collection no earlier than 6 p.m. the night before scheduled collection and pulled back no later than 10 hours after scheduled collections.
Trash Cart storage: The City requires that trash carts in Cherry Hill Manor be stored neatly inside the fence line of your property. If your property does not have a fence, carts should be stored against the house in an inconspicuous location. Carts may be stored with their lids closed in built alcoves adjacent to the service road as long as the carts are inconspicuous and do not extend beyond the fence line. Carts should be pulled out from alcoves for collection and returned afterward. If you have questions about trash pickup and trash cart storage, call the city’s Public Works Department at 302-366-7000.
The City will collect up to four large bulk items, such as appliances or furniture, by appointment only, for free. To schedule a pickup, call the city’s Public Works Department at 302-366-7000. Do not leave bulk trash in the alleys without calling to schedule a pickup date. It will not be collected and you could be fined.

While we love pets in Cherry Hill Manor, we ask that owners not leave dog waste in the neighborhood’s open space. According to the Municipal Code of the City of Newark, pet owners are responsible for immediately removing any fecal matter deposited by their pet. Additionally, the City of Newark’s animal control ordinances requires animals to be on a leash when they are off the owner’s property. For questions, or to report problems with animal waste or lost dogs, call Animal Control Officer Donna Vickers at 302-366-7100.
The City of Newark provides leaf collection as a seasonal service to its residents. Fall leaf collection begins in mid-October and continues through mid-December. All leaves should be raked to the curb, but not into the street, for collection. For more information about leaf collection, call the city’s Public Works Department at 302-366-7000.
